Lil' Granny

So today Julia got her eyes dilated (to examine her clogged tear ducts), and came out wearing these sweet specs... good thing Brian had his phone.

The Schwinnebagos

So last year... oh don't be fooled, on Christmas day our beautiful Schwinn bikes which we loved dearly were stolen. We have been missing them ever since. Well this Christmas, Brian's dad bought him this sweet surround sound system thing with blu-ray. It was great and all, but with the world's crappiest t.v., who really needs that (and there was no way I was letting Brian buy a $500+ t.v.). So when Brian's brother wanted to buy the sweet thing off him, we decided to get these beauties instead...

Happy 3 Years!

from this (the first time he officially asked me out)

it's been a great 3 years... unlike anything I could have ever imagined. Not to sound cheesy, but I honestly had no clue how kind, caring, and compassionate a man I was marrying. He has been such a surprise, in such a good way. I never knew how beautiful someone could make you feel until I married him. I am so grateful for the past 3 years, and for the rest of eternity that I get to spend with my hunny!

Crazy Christmas and the Big 5

So Christmas was such a whirlwind, but one of the best ever! We spent the week at Brian's dad and stepmom's house, and oh my gosh it was such a blast! They spoiled us rotten... we went to sporting events, movies, ate tons of amazing food, went to parties, played lots of games, and just had so much fun together as a family. All Brian's brothers and their wives were there too- and it was so fun to see everyone! Julia is the only baby in Brian's family, so she was ridiculously spoiled. She literally got passed from one person to the next, and loved every minute of it. Bob and Jasmin were so good to us, and we seriously got so hooked up on Christmas morning. I don't think I've ever had so much fun on Christmas, (don't tell my mom) and didn't want to leave. However, my brother was getting married four days after Christmas, so it was time to start those festivities! Their wedding was so great, everything about it turned out absolutely beautiful! Their sealing was the coolest I'd been to... the day was just perfect. We just love Natalie and are so excited she is part of our family now. California was a blast- we saw both Brian's and my family a lot... we had two more Christmases, we got to go out on dates while my family babysat (wow that was so different!) and even got to go to Disneyland... thanks Mom and Dad! it made me miss home so much. I'm already looking forward to July when I get to go home for a month!
Oh and P.S.- Julia is 5 month old now! This month Julia:
-decided she doesn't like solids yet
-got her first cough and cold
-no longer wants to be rocked to sleep. She takes naps in her crib now... what a big girl!
She seems mainly the same from 4 to 5 months, but just a bigger version. She is so much stinking fun- I love her little guts. Ok picture overload time!

4 months of fun

Okay, sorry for the picture overload! But I know the grandparents will love it...
Quick four month update... this month, Julia:
-rolled over
-laughed hysterically
-ate rice cereal (and doesn't like it yet)
-decided she doesn't like to sleep through the night anymore after 2 straight months of doing so
-found her voice, and loves to scream for fun- especially in church
-sucks her left thumb constantly... when she's tired, hungry, needs comfort, or just bored. She loves that thumb!
-stopped balling her eyes out in her car seat... we finally broke her!
-weighs 15 pounds still, and is 27 inches long
-got her first bruise when Mom didn't realize she could move so well, and she fell off the couch while I was getting a bowl of cereal:(
-is becoming so aware of everything, and making Mom and Dad laugh all the time.
This has been such a wonderful month with our baby... we're looking forward to spending her first Christmas in Texas with Brian's family, and New Years with mine in California!

So long Mr. Pup

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life- I had to say goodbye to my best friend, sir Pup. This has been a few months in the process... we always knew Brian was allergic to the dog (but I told him to deal with it) and then we started noticing Julia was too. She would get really red and watery eyes all the time, and sneeze like a maniac. This was heartbreaking to discover, because everyone who knows me knows how much I love my dog. But obviously our child comes first. After weeks of trying to find him the perfect home, we did. These people love pugs so much, they had their last one that died cremated and is now sitting in an urn on their shelf. Even though I know he is going to a good home, it still doesn't make it any easier. I literally feel like my eyeballs are going to fall out from crying. I love you Mr. Puppors, and hope that you have the best life ever, and know that I will always love you and think about you ever single day.
