On your mark... get set... go!

So I am finally finished moving in to our new place! It is so nice to feel settled, I can't even tell you how stressed out I was thinking I had to put the whole house together, by myself, in just a week. Brian luckily has been able to come home on the weekends, and do some projects, but the bulk of it was put on me. (It's probably better that way- Brian thinks he's an interior decorator sometimes so it was nice that I got to unpack everything where I wanted it.) It was hard work being 38 weeks pregnant, but it was a good thing my nesting kicked in and I was like the energizer bunny. I just couldn't stop! Julia's room is all ready, the house is clean, she can come any time she wants now!
I was so stressed because at my last doctor's appointment, my doctor told me I was measuring really big and that we would most likely have to schedule a C-section for this week- so I felt like I had to have everything together before this week. Well, yesterday we went for an ultrasound to see how big she really was (the coolest part of my pregnancy this far... I couldn't believe how big she has gotten since the ultrasound at 5 months! She was making a sucking face the whole time, and was doing her "practice breathing"- it was the cutest thing in the world! It for sure made everything real for me and Brian.) After a long, and very cool sonogram, we found out that she is measuring perfectly... we were told we're having one tall baby with fat cheeks! She's 7 pounds 3 ounces, and I can honestly tell you the doctor's jaw almost hit the floor when he found out that she was still a relatively small baby... which means no planned C-section! Heavenly Father really does answer our prayers.
Another wonderful thing... Brian's professor told him that he should come home early and be with me. That means he gets to come home almost a month early from Pensacola! I am so excited! If she comes on time, he will for sure make it for the birth! Everything is working out so well. For months the doctor has told me to plan on being induced or having a C-section- so the thought that this little girl gets to come on her own time, when she's ready, makes me so happy. Things could not be better. I am officially all ready for her to come- Woohoo!

Shower part 2

Ok so I am finally getting around to my shower posting- it has been a crazy few weeks, we just closed on our house and are trying to move, clean, etc. It has been busy around here, but a fun busy. We definitely are missing California though, we had so much fun there. The best part for me was my shower... it was so great to see a lot of women who I love and miss so much, all get together to help me get ready for this baby. I really love and appreciate everyone who helped out- it was so wonderful. Again, thank you sisters and Mom for everything- and everyone else who came to the shower, or brought by/sent a gift later- you have no clue how grateful I am to know so many wonderful women!! I appreciate it so much! Just wanted to share a few pictures of all the hard work everyone put in to making this such a wonderful day.....
